05 Preparation & provenance
Preparation you can audit.
Coaching is a constrained decision system, not a chatbot with opinions about your body — and every exercise and score traces back to the document it came from.
Coaching that has to show its working.
The readiness coach is a constrained decision system, not a chatbot with opinions about your body. It selects from a reviewed exercise catalogue, works within deterministic safety and dose rules, and every prescription it produces is validated by the same rules a manual edit passes.
Deterministic policy core
May Standards maths, eligibility, hard exclusions, dose bounds, recovery spacing, plan validation.
May not Persuasion or unsupported inference.
Ranking and optimisation
May Prioritise readiness gaps and rank safe candidates within bounds.
May not Bypass a hard constraint or claim medical certainty.
Generative coach
May Ask one useful question, explain a rationale, translate approved cues.
May not Write to an active plan, invent an exercise, diagnose, or change a goal.
It does not diagnose injury, clear anyone for exercise, prevent injury, or guarantee that a goal or qualification will be reached. A reported pain or symptom stops the affected recommendation and points toward qualified help.
Every standard carries its paperwork.
Exercises and scoring are drawn from publicly published military fitness materials. Each one keeps a source record, so a number on screen can be traced back to the document, edition and section it came from — and retired when that document is superseded.

Publishing runs draft → source review → exercise-science review → rights review → signed → active → retired. A retired standard disables affected scoring without deleting its provenance.
Public availability of a document does not by itself grant permission to reuse insignia, photographs, recordings or trademarks contained in it. VECTAC uses branch names descriptively only, and never trade dress that would imply endorsement.
